Glentress, Broughton, Talla, Megget, Peebles cycle loop

The railway lines, that were put into service the construction of the Talla and Fruid reservoirs, would make a fantastic and viable option to the A701 if they were upgraded and converted into part of a circular cycle routes that takes in Peebles, Broughton, Talla, Megget, St Mary's, Innerleithen and Glentress.

This would bring in new and sustainable activities and economic activity that gets to the heart of what the low carbon economy can achieve. The lasting impact on this is not simply extreme cycling sports or even tourism but also a local quiet lane for going to local schools and businesses and even computing to transport hubs.
